Fitment is another term for compatibility, basically the vehicles a part properly fits.
Using myFitment is actually free, totally 100% free, for eBay sellers. Why? eBay acquired us in 2022 after seeing the value we were adding to their top sellers, wanting to bring that same value to every seller. The FitmentPlus program, which you can read about on eBay’s seller site as well, is an attempt to invest in all their sellers.
eBay sellers don’t even need a credit card to get started. Simply follow our registration link, set up your account, then connect your store and you’re good to go. It may take some time for the system to import all of your listings and identify compatibilities, but on most days, this is completed within hours. Create your account now and check back when it is convenient.
Researching and maintaining fitment is time intensive, so using services like ours can speed your time to market. myFitment users can add thousands of fitments in minutes, whether pulled from our own catalog or through your own load files. If you want to continue authoring your own compatibility, you can choose to append our fitment to your own, preserving what you have while taking advantage of our research.
Absolutely. We can find fitment using what we call a “Match File” to associate your part numbers to one from another brand. Reach out to our support team for guidance after registering to get started.
The FitmentPlus program is free for all eBay sellers and there is no fixed end date. eBay acquired us after seeing the value we were delivering to their sellers and they are investing in you by making the service free. Connect your store today, for free!
This applies to our FitmentPlus for eBay standard subscription only. Sellers grandfathered into special pricing or custom services must maintain their subscription as is, and all ACES/Amazon subscriptions are still charged as well.
We offer in-application chat support 24 x 7. Log into your myFitment account and look for the chat widget in the bottom right corner of the page. There is also a lot of content available in our support library for review.
myFitment can help almost every P&A seller on eBay, but there are salvage specific tools available that can help even more. We strongly suggest the PartOutPRO application to our salvage partners but still welcome you to the free FitmentPlus program because we may still be able to add fitment.
We search our catalog based on the Brand and MPN values associated with your listings. Clean and consistent item specifics are the key for receiving the most value from our service. If you’re not being presented with opportunities, review your brand and part numbers for misspellings and special characters.
No! The vehicle standards change frequently so it is important to revisit your fitment on a regular basis. Participants in our Automatic Fitment program can receive new opportunities twice a week. We suggest a monthly review at a minimum, but the more frequently you can add valid compatibility the better.
Data publication times will vary based on who your publication partner is. If you elect to have updates applied directly to eBay, updates should appear in minutes when the system is under a typical load. If you are using a 3PP, such as Rithum, Suredone, or others, note that our content is published to them. You will have to configure your listings to use the “mf_compatibility” data provided and publish back to eBay as you normally would.
We do still support the ACES standard but the escalating demands of receivers, combined with changes being made to the standard itself, are creating a system that is not very seller friendly and difficult to support. We are still offering our legacy ACES services but suggest reviewing other services for your ACES needs. Evocat, from WHI Solutions, is the leading tool for authoring your own ACES and PIES XML files as required by the traditional aftermarket.
Subscriptions to our legacy ACES service range from $19 to $149/month based on how many brands and items you are managing. You can get started here.
Due to the growth of our user based from the free FitmentPlus initiative, we have to route all contact through the application or via emails. If you do not see a scheduled event that currently works, keep checking as we will add sessions whenever possible. Also, since FitmentPlus is free for eBay sellers, there is no risk in signing up and kicking the tires. Many questions can be answered by reviewing the content in our support library but try our chat service as well.
